Johanna Råman has been appointed as the new Executive Director of DocPoint. She will start in her new position in August 2023.  Råman is the successor to Tapio Riihimäki, who has managed the DocPoint organisation and its activities since 2018.

Since August 2018, Johanna has worked as the Head of the Finnish Institute in France, where she oversaw the organisation’s operations and finances, and managed personnel and social relations.

”The current activities of DocPoint and the organisation’s significant profile in society provide me with a great starting point to further develop the festival.  In current times it is vital to thoroughly promote the art of nonfiction cinema. I am overjoyed and excited about the new position”, Råman explains.

As Tapio Riihimäki moves on to new challenges, the board of DocPoint thank him for his work, which has allowed the organisation to develop and expand.  DocPoint has a firm and respected position in the field of documentary film.
