Vytautas Puidokas is a Lithuanian documentary filmmaker, who has previously worked for Lithuania’s national television as a director and screenwriter. His debut feature El Padre Médico (2019) has toured festivals in Europe and the United States. In addition to documentaries, Puidokas makes music videos, video art, and installations. In his films, Puidokas handles subjects like identity, history, and migration. Part of the DocPoint programme, Before They Meet follows cross-border cooperation between ornithological research stations on different sides of the Kaliningrad-Lithuania border.
