Luka Beradze is a film director from Tbilisi, Georgia. His humoristic and absurd documentary film Smiling Georgia is participating in DocPoint’s International Competition. Smiling Georgia is Beradze’s first feature documentary film which takes the viewers to the Georgian countryside to find out what happened to the ex-president’s election pledge of new teeth for the poor.
Beradze has studied film directing in Georgia and has previously directed short documentaries I Went, I Saw, I Fixed It (2016) for Georgian National Broadcaster and Sorry For Being Late (2021) which was awarded at Thessaloniki Free Short Festival.
