Gianluca Matarrese is an Italian director, who studied film and theatre in France and Italy. From 2008, he has worked for French television as a screenwriter, director, and artistic director. His earlier works as a director include Everything Must Go (2019), which was awarded as best documentary at the Torino Film Festival. He also works as an actor in film and theatre in France and directs films and documentaries on fashion. His film Fashion Babylon (2022), a part of the DocPoint programme, also takes place in the world of fashion. His Venice Film Festival’s Queer Lion-winning film The Last Chapter is also screened at DocPoint.
