Born in Tehran, Firouzeh Khosrovani studied at the Accademia di Belle Arti di Brera in Milan, and went on to graduate with a Masters in journalism from Iran. Khosrovani has directed numerous award-winning documentary films. Presenting its Finnish premiere at DocPoint this year, Khosrovani’s Radiograph of a Family was awarded the 2020 Best Feature-Length Documentary award at Amsterdam’s international documentary film festival, IDFA. The film, which will compete in DocPoint’s International Competition series, navigates the family dynamics of a European intellectual father, a radical muslim mother, and a film director daughter who lands somewhere in between.
