Agnieszka Zwiefka is an awarded documentary film director from Poland. Zwiefka has studied journalism and has cooperated with the Polish public broadcasting company TVP for over ten year creating TV programs and short documentaries. In 2010 she established her own production company Chilli Productions which specializes in creative documentaries. In her films she balances between reality and fantasy, creating hybrids that cross the border between documentary and fiction. Zwiefka’s previous films include the Queen of Silence (2014) and Scars (2020) which both have been screened on varous international film festivals and for example the Queen of Silence won the Silver Horn at Krakow Film Festival. In addition to filmmaking, Zwiefka works as a lecturer of television journalism and interactive films at the University of Wroclaw.
Zwiefka’s latest film Vika! is part of Docpoint’s programme. The documentary is a heartwarming portrait of 84-year-old DJ Vika, who plays records for young people and has decided not to grow old quietly.
