WEBINAR: THE BALTIC SEA IN US

THE BALTIC SEA IN US:

Webinar, Friday 29.1. at 18:00

One of the themes of DocPoint’s anniversary edition programme is oceans/waters. Organised on Friday the 29th of January, the webinar dives into the deep waters of the Baltic Sea, beloved by Finns, and populated by 85 million people amongst 14 different states in the region. Out of Finland’s towns and municipalities over 30 are situated on the shores of the Baltic Sea, although it could be claimed that almost the entire country is part of the Baltic’s drainage basin. In DocPoint’s webinar we will discuss how through our actions we can help the Baltic sea, which suffers from an overgrowth of algae, and how we can combat current global threats such as climate change.

Joining the discussion are DocPoint’s opening film Walk the Tideline’s director Anna Antsalo, Keep the Archipelago Tidy Association’s Project manager Hanna Haaksi, and The Finnish Environment Institute’s Senior Research Scientist Seppo Knuuttila. Moderating the discussion is award-winning journalist, author, and tv personality Kimmo Ohtonen.

Take part in the webinar, which is free and open to all, on Friday 29.1. at 18:00. The link below will take you to the webinar once it begins.

The Webinars will be recorded and saved onto DocPoint’s website.
