The creator of the highly popular documentary series A Story of Film, Mark Cousins will visit DocPoint in January. The documentarian and author will hold a Masterclass on Wed, Jan 31 in the Savoy Theatre. The event is moderated by DocPoint’s Head of Programming, Inka Achté. In addition, three films from the director will be screened at the festival.
Atomic: Living in Dread and Promise (2015) on the history of nuclear power and The March on Rome (2022), about the rise and fall of fascism in 1930s Italy, resonate with terrifying power in our current day world. A Story of Children and Film (2013) is a timeless depiction of how childhood has been depicted in films in different ages.
Tickets to the Masterclass (20 €) are on sale now! There is also a ticket package (40 €) on sale, which includes the Masterclass and all screenings of Cousins’ films at the festival. Individual tickets to the screenings are also sold separately.
